I have no idea, but this is the 2nd thread on a car forum I've seen today where someone has done a deal, and then afterwards solicited opinion on whether they've paid too much.

1) Do you not think this is arse about face?

2) If you love the car, love the spec, want it badly and are happy with the price you have paid, why do you care what anyone else thinks? You'll be getting people telling you the trade price is only 20k and you shouldn't have paid a penny more than 19.5k any minute!

You should be having sleepless nights now and be more excited than a 5yr old at Christmas. And not because your 90k poorer. Look forward to the car, enjoy it and get some photos up here once you've had your first blasts.

smile

I've been told I should sometimes try dressing messages up a little so I thought I'd try.

Enjoy it. Best colour for a Lambo I reckon.

Exatcly as Murph said, if you got car you like don't give $hit if you paid ew pounds too much. You have G you wanted!!!! smile

You don't run these cars for pennies so it suprises me how much people worry about prices thay paid vs "trade prices" (as at least for me it was impossible to buy at trade price no matter how much I wanted). 2-3k£ goes easily on these cars just for small things so why worry TOO much when you have found car you want. These are always who sides in coin, I'm selling my old car now IMO way too cheaply but quess what, I couldn't care less as I don't have time nor interest to put on sale and dealers want even more for selling it. Problem is that it's buyers market when you are selling and sellers market when you are buying. biggrinbiggrin

Still though, considering there is no tubi etc, does the price seem right? I dont mind paying a couple of grand over market considering dealer benefits but ive seen a few around since securing this vehicle!

I saw an 06 plate G yesterday at Lambo HW, for £125k. That makes yours look like a steal.

That car has been up for £94500 for a few weeks and it was offered to me 2 weeks ago for £90k and the next service free. It was reduced to £89500 recently and I was going to go back and see if the previous discount (£5k) was still available therefore making it £84500. I wouldn't of paid more than that but you are getting the service and dealership benefits I suppose.

Lets think through the different outcomes here ….

You have a stunning Gallardo and perhaps paid a couple of grand too much

Or

You have a stunning gallardo and you may have paid about the right amount

Wake up man you don’t need to know you got a good deal to feel great – you have bloody gallardo to do that for you !

All in good humor – Well done and yes I am jealous (and still looking)

So....are the others you've seen around cheaper? Same spec? Same "benefits"?

Do you prefer the car that you have already agreed to buy?

I suspect what you are going through is exactly how I felt December 2002 on a train back from Loughborough. Shitting bricks that I'd just dropped a packet on a car I had only ever dreamed about owning previously. It'll sink in, and you'll love it. If you are buying the right car for *you*, you'll barely ever think about the cash (assuming you're not financing yourself up to the hilt and paying extortionate interest rates to get it!).

Did I pay too much for my first one? Probably. Was it a great car. Definitely. 100 times over.

There are a lot of Parkers Guide heroes on the web. If you're happy with what you have agreed to pay, crack on and enjoy the car while everyone else kicks tyres for the next year or two trying to knock the last few hundred quid off cars and missing out on them every time. Seat time is valuable - you can never get it back once lost wink He who dares wins rodders.

p.s i know that they bought the car for about 85K so after a 2k service and 1.5K of warranty there wasnt much of a mark up!

Lamborghini's are no different to a property purchase, if you don't buy it someone else will as they're are all pretty much differnt from each other either with spec or mileage and ownership.

If you can afford it then buy it and enjoy it.

I'm sure they were selling it on behalf of someone else who was a member on here, don't quote me on that as I may be incorrect. Beautiful car though mate, if it had been eGear it would be sitting in my garage right now wink

I would consider Mr Lambo dealers are not happy bunny's at the moment,as,
Mr Glass reduced the values of Gallardo's by up to £5700 last month.Oohh Errr!!
And the new Mr Glass book is due next week.yikes

Sounds a well specced, low mileage and unusual coloured car ... i guess the chance of finding a similar car is low, so i suppose its worth what you are prepared to pay. Don't worry about the cash and enjoy the car..
