or how about a cooling chip from TCS? I've just put one in my cerb and it makes a HUUGE difference to the temp of the car and is a far less invasive option.

Whilst that sounds like a good idea, I thought that the chip was only compatible with the earlier ecu,not the later one???

perhaps your right, only the cerb and the tuscan are mentioned on the site. May be worth a call though to see what they can do??

In the end a manual fan is definiteley the best for the enthusiast and the engine alike, I to would like a fool proof step by step guide to fitting amanual fan switch but so far everyone keeps muttering about screwing up the ecu.cheers simon.

Surprised you are getting problems with a Sagaris - can you let us know what the background is?

Background?
Had full 12,000 service beginning of june.
week or so later got the ecu water sensor faliure fault 28 coming up.
but no steam or water leaks even though it read 107 on display.
then few days later display read 110 with steam !
shut it off, filled now empty expansion tank, ran it up to runnig temp rechecked water level all fine.
but i only have to be sitting in traffic for less than five minutes for water temp to go nuts again, so though having a mannuk switch just to turn fans on and off would be a good idea.

cant see how a switch would effect ecu .
your only cutting into main live feed and earth on the fan motor..... i think....sillybanghead
