Hi

Been having trouble with my doors since I got my car a couple of months ago and this has ended this morning when my girlfriend couln't get the passenger door open!

It started as an Intermittent problem and now it won't open at all.

I get a click from the control unit under the centre consol but no noises from the door.

Is there a solenoid in the door? I think it's this that's casuing the porble. If so is it a special to TVR or can I get it from any good motor factors?

The reason behind my guess is that the door has been 'lazy' to open. It sounded like the door mechanism was struggling to open. You had to hold the button down to get it to trigger on a number of occasions before it would release the door.

Anyone with any experience with stripping down doors I would appreciate you help.

Cheers

Sorry to hijack the thread by I've also got a problem with my drivers door.

the window isn't registering when the door is closed so its now permanently stuck half way up.

Be nice to have an idea before I go poking around.

Thanks

I also have this problem but that one is easy to fix on my car. The micro switch behind the polished metal cover in the door shut doesn't switch. This switch senses when the door is closed to close the window.

You can tell if it's this switch if you can close the window from the inside using the normal window switch.

I'm told TVR Power and some of the dealers hold these micro switches in stock if you need them.

Hope this helps you.
