I'd definately get cruise control, and also find the rain sensing wipers pretty good.
Navigation nice to have but telephone option is not widely recommended.
Lots of other things to choose from depending on car use and personal taste, and wallet of course !!
Factory collection also worth considering.

Or the best option: find a year old one with 3,000 miles on the clock and save yourself £10,000!

I had loads on my C4S but with the benefit of hindsight i would go for nav, phone, sports chrono, PSE, bose, rain sensing wipers, multi function s/wheel, maybe some different wheels (think is only £200 ish option) and maybe cruise...

Likewise - I added a fair number of options on my C4S.

I'd go for Nav, Cruise Control, PSE, Short Shifter, tyre pressure monitor and parking sensors but avoid Sports Chrono!!

Why is that? I have it on my C2S and love it. Just spent two days in Le Castellet on track and the car feels much more agile with the sharpened throttle response you get from pressing the button. The looks of the clock are an altogether different story...

Each to their own, but I don't like the looks, and my understanding is that with the Sports Chrono, you can't have the PSE on, without turning off PASM??

Agree with you on the dodgy looks of the clock. I would have preferred the "sports chrono pack" without it... PSE is on full blast only if you press the sport button, i.e. with the sharper throttle response. However, PASM can be on normal setting as you have a separat button to toggle between settings.

Not quite right about the PSE. There's a 1min simple adjustment you can do which means the pse is on the loud setting without having to have the chrono in the sport mode - this also bypasses the stupid drive by setting.

imho the 997 c4s doesnt need cruise, its really easy to glide along at low speeds, maybe on the autobhans it would be good, ive done 9600miles in mine in a year & havent missed cruise.

externally I would go for the sport design wheels with TPM and PCCBs, just to max out the handling potential and if you can afford the power kit, it would make a very special normally aspirated car with 4 seats, maybe upgrade to manual heated sports seats and add side skirts & the sport shift to taste..smile

'imho the 997 c4s doesnt need cruise,'

You're right, it doesn't actually need cruise but since I've learnt how to use it properly I use it a lot now. Probably just me getting old but on boring motorway drives I find it all too easy to see my speed increasing slightly without realising it, so I think it's good (cheap) insurance to eliminate the chance of a few points.

I have the PCCB's and find them excellent as regards no noise, no corrosion, and no brake dust. Haven't driven a similar car on steels so can't comment on any handling differences, or in fact braking performance which I understand is much the same.

find cruise very useful for license-keeping runs on motorway and through SPECS sites
