Hello all,

Presently I have a lovely 5ltr Cim, that has proven no problem at all, now all well and good so far....

But, I am being drawn towards changing it for a Cerbera, as I love the look of them, what they stand for and the performance of the AJP V8s....

So, in the near future, say next 3 or 4 months, am seriously thinking of selling the Chim and going for a Cerb!

Am I mad?

Yes, completely barking!

But I think that's a pre-requisite of Cerb ownership nuts

Do it! Do it, do it, do it wink

tongue out I am in the same boat, not sure why I fancy the Cerb, is it the draw of more horse power ???, will i miss the top down motoring and the lazy driving, or if i go for the cerb the regret of the opening the wallet........... but everytime i open the garage door i still like the chimaera. I know what situtation your in !! Anyone want a 500 with 13k on the clock ?

I went through the same thing early last year. But didn't think I could bear to part with the Chimaera I'd had since new and which had never let me down (in 7.5 years).

Managed to keep the desire supressed until I saw a particular Cerbera in a car park. Fortunately, it wasn't for sale. But the owner let me drive it rolleyes

It was a mere 8 weeks until it was on my drive! laugh Thing is, I still haven't sold the Chimaera! eek But I have managed to do 11K miles in the Cerbera in a year! Something will have to give shortly, I orginally justified it in that I would just have the Cerbera for a year - for the experience of owning one - and then sell it...... Yeah right! I'd rather sell my house than part with the Cerbera.

Does that answer your question? tongue out

Yep, you're mad! Though having owned and enjoyed 'your' Chim for the last four years, I am biased! hehe It was the lure of a Tuscan that led me astray, and I've still not found the right one, so am starting to regret the sale!

Chim to Cerb here also, managed to own both simultaneously for about 2 months so think that makes me a whole lot more sane than Amazon tongue out Who'd have thunk it? Cerbs are stupendous value for money at the mo, actually slightly on the rise if anything so now is a good time to buy - not that logic should ever come into it. Most will hurt the wallet more than a Chim to run but there's no better itch to have to scratch - and you soon forgive them for the loss of your childrens private education biggrin

Yes, isn't it bad! redface I'll see how long I can get away with it though! wink

If you do decide you sell your Chimaera - a really nice chap came to the Cambs Club meet last week and he is actively looking for a good example, so if you remember, give me a shout. In the meantime, have a ball! drivingspin

I recently purchased my Tuscan but didnt sell my Chimaera straight away.
This was fortunate as the Tuscan had to have the engine done.
In the end, the addition of the repair bill onto the Tuscan purchase outlay meant that I had to sell my Chimaera.
As I work away a lot, it was left with my wife to do the deed but she said it was sad seeing it disappear down the road. She said it sound great and she could hear for at least two minutes.
I was glad I didnt see it go.
Anyway my wife is now talking about me selling my Wedge as well...........LIFE CAN BE PAINFUL
