I purchased one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALUMINIUM-LOW-PROFILE-RACING...

Goes under the GT2 with ease wink, it comes with a heavy duty rubber pad on the jacking point to prevent any damage to the car jacking point. Very well made, thoroughly recommended.

UKwill, I often contemplate this myself. Maybe my silly question, but do you use a machine to get wheel bolts back on or just the manual bolt turner?

Be careful with the load rating of these "race-car" jacks..

3,000lbs = 1,360kgs and I would have thought a 996TT was somehwhat more than that!

Although saying that....you are not lifting the whole car clean off the ground, so it would probably be OK.

If I had air tools I'd use 'em smile Alas, it's the old manual method for me I'm afraid.
