After 6 months i'm still not sure that the adaptive lights on the car actually work. If I do the wall test i don't see any movement and I can't see anything obvious on the road either.
Is there a sure fire test to see if the're working and a fix that doesn@t require me going to the dealer?

They are very subtle. On early Audis' with AL, it was very clear that it was working but on 06 cars onwards it is very hard to tell that it is working. I think its a waste of £.

Mind you its the same on BMW's too - don't worry.

Mike,

The wall test won't work. They only move when the car is in motion. And the amount they turn is dependant on both car speed and steering angle. You should notice them move/self adjust when you turn the lights on though.

i think one of the problems then may be that I have to park my car with the wheels straight so they may have self adjusted to the straight ahead anyway. I've never noticed them go left and right on start up in other words. I'm going to check my parts list and see if they are on there.

mine is an 07 and the adaptive lights are very obvious on a badly lit country road for example. Alos if I am parked at night facing another car or wall etc the lights flick up/dwon and left/right when first switched on as a systems check
