Paint code help

In preparation for the total rebuild of my S3c - In the process of getting the body off to sort the chassis - I'm trying to get as much info as possible for my car.

So now I get to the paint - got the code off the body but don't seem to be getting anywhere with tracking down the right paint.

Paint code is P420-2895, all I can find is that it's an ICI code (from the P420 bit) but as for the rest of it I have no idea! The car colour is 'Black Cherry' if that helps.

Gerbil can be contacted through Surface & Design on Blackpool 595800. Or if you do a search in the members directory for Gerbil, you should be able to email him

If its an ICI paint code, then call ICI Autopaint on 01449 771 771.
They will need the full paint code from the engine bay. They will give you a TVR reference number, but more importantly the origional paint codes. For example, mine turned out to be a paint used by VW on Passatts and Corrados.
