Anyone know how to get the central door opening knob off. This is in a 98 Chim and is the knob behind the handbrake that you twist towards the door that you want to open. The little button in the centre to lock the doors has stopped working and I suspect a loose connection or dirty contacts. I am guessing that these will be more accessible/visible with the knob off.

Right at the bottom theres a tiny little grub screw - IIRC it's a 2mm allen head. V. difficult to get to and see - found mine by feel when it came loose.

Thanks. Suspected it may be something like a grub scew but couldn't see it. Will have to look harder or feel around as you suggest. Nothing in the bible either as far as I could see.

You need to remove the centre console to get at it there is 3 screws that are bolted to the tunnel remove them ball will lift up if you can't remove the grub screw.
