After all the talk about the Ducati being super fast, he's only winning because of the bike etc. Stoner has really proved himself over the last couple of races.
Pity Chas Davis didn't get a chance to ride a decent bike as he and Casey were nip and tuck when on equal bikes.

It was nice to see the Rossi fans booing Stoner (again) as he took the podium.

I personally don't really like Stoner. Rossi has been a bit of a hero of mine for a few years, so yeah, I'm a bit upset how thinga are going. HOWEVER, you really can't take anything away from Stoner. He answered all the questions that have been asked of him, and he hasn't put a foot wrong. I think he's gonna win this year, he's just so consistant.

Nor me.

He can ride a bike though and he is making Capirossi look like a part timer.

I would'nt be surprised if he went on to win the championship this year, don't think he will be a good champion though.

Someone with charisma who you are pleased to see win.

Bit like when Roberts won the championship in 2000, he was the best rider but that was all.

The interview's I've seen Stoner give, he seems OK to me.

If Ducati win this year, and look to be still numero uno in the first half of next year, I'd love to see Rossi move to Ducati when his Yam contract is up at the end of next year.....thumbup

You can't fault him this season, he's a different rider from last year... But, imo he wouldn't be having the year he is, if he was riding the same bike/tyres as Valentino. That's the second time this year VR has been let down by a bad Michelin rear tyre.. you could see it falling apart on the on-bike shots. apparantly both Rossi & Edwards set their fastest laps around lap 10 when the track was still wet, that really tells you how 3d their tyres were. Perhaps Casey would still of won, but i don't think we would've seen a 12sec lead, if the Michelin tyres had been up to the job.. who knows?

I'd like to see traction control banned (like F1 next season) so that we see riders controlling the bike more, instead of a machine doing half the work. Is it a coincidence that Rossi's advantage has gone since traction control has been perfected? Think back to 2003 when Rossi was on the Honda (yes, probably the best bike) you used to see wheel spin out of all the turns. Who used to be able to control that better than anyone and often used to win by 10 secs in a dry race?

I Like stoner! And i like Rossi but he is starting to use excuses like fuel on the track! but if im not wrong he was on the same track as everyone else that day! and its been like that for years and always will be!.. Dont remember him moaning when he was winning at donington every year!..

Dont hate stoner cos he doesnt CAMP it up! he's an old school racer (head down and get on with racing)!.
And as for haydens advert for tyres W T F is going on! is he rossis boyfriend i wonder.

That was a joke!!!

He also said that the burger vans at Redgate must be dumping their used oil on the track, as it had no griphehe

I'm a Rossi fan, but think Stoner is doing a brilliant job & just seems like a normal, level headed guy. He might not be Mr Charisma, but he has a tad more charm than Pedrossa.

The people booing should be ashamed of themselves. I reckon half the "Rossi fans" at Donington yesterday are 5 minute wonders. When he stops winning, they will go back to "supporting" Man U.

Ding! I spoke to a few fans and they could easily quote "7 times world champion" but hardly any of them knew anything about any of the other riders.

Yep, if he can perform like that in 12.5% of races, he's on to a winner.

IMO, if he performed like he has done at all the races this year on equal machinery/tyres, he certainly would be onto a winner!
