996tt Glovebox

Hi, just collected a dec 2000 996 turbo and it doesn't have a glovebox, was this a later model addition if so can I fit one from a later car ? Just be nice to have a little more storage. It has arrived with what was escribed as a Milltek stainless exhaust, seems quite quiet. Car is terrific basalt black sports seats, 39,000 miles, purchased from Westover Sportscars in Poole who took my Exige in part ex. Just getting used to the power ..
Anything I should know about ownership, read most of the old threads etc.

Prohibitively expensive to retrofit as it's not just a void behind there....

The glovebox was added as part of the 2002 facelift - it's the easiest way of identifying a facelifted car.
