Hi Craig

Umm I dropped out because of the 98 Db limit....I can only see one of those cars making the limit (the 997)......

That list was also just about every car I was hoping to beat with my 850 hp (500 of Nitrous) particularly the Carrera GT....which will NEVER get under 98db ......

Are you saying the limit has changed ???

I "really" want to but there is a technical reason I cannot quiet mine enough...

With BIG Nitrous jetting (over 250 hp) I "HAVE" to have an extremely open exhaust which is almost straight through with only 2 middle resonators..

I tested this with 250hp and when I put on my standard rear box....which would almost make your limit lol.....it gave me a drastic engine missfire as the back pressure was too bad and the engine overfuelled...(causing the missfire)..went back to straight through rear pipes and all fine again..

So to run my 500 hp system...or the next stage which will be 1000 hp (of Nitrous) ,I will have no choice on exhaust.....and mine is around 115 db at 4500 revs at 18 inches etc...

Ah well.....at least I was willing

I think the only way I am going to get the top speed I want(208 mph)is a trip to Germany with a video camera and a witness lol

Only trouble is that wont get me a timing ticket ...or into TOTB

Anyone thinking shall I or shan't I? just get on with it. VMAX is a superb day out for PHers, which I'm gutted I'll be missing (First event missed since the start).

It's not everyday you get invited to meet up with PHers, dine on the finest ratburgers and drive as fast as you like as often as you like! (Oh with some fun twisties on the way back.......)

For months and months I had been looking forward to running my rebuilt engine at Bruntingthorpe once the legal wranglings had been sorted out. Alas I stuffed the car into the barriers at Snetterton and it's being rebuilt again (bodywork this time). Hopefully contact you for the next one Craig
