Had a look through this months sprint, but can't see any details for booking/payment for the sunday events? Can you just turn up and pay on the day? and how much?

Thanks guys for the posts. Although I don't understand why this is advance booking only? I can understand the track session, as this can be over subscribed, but for general admission? Also I only want to go on one day, but you have to pay for both. So if I turn up on a sunday in my TVR I will get turned away as I don't have a ticket, I find this plain short sighted.

The problem is basically cost, and man power. To get rockingham to take money and issue tickets is expensive and the club dont have the manpower to do it internally, or the facilities. You really need to be able to take cards these days as well as cheque and cash.

There is also the financial risk element. Its very expensive to put an event on like this hiring a circuit for 2 days its lots of wonga. With prepay the club know the numbers coming and could have pulled out at the last minute if attendance was low.

If for example it was all pay on the gate and the weather turned nasty and nobody turned up then there would be no more TVRCC... You have to remember the event isnt designed as a profit making exercise its just about at cost....

The event is open to anyone, but pre pay only. It would be nice to take tickets on the door, as the Porker and Ferrari clubs do at their big events, but they are much bigger clubs and have manufacturer support. IF TVR were still around and were involved then There probably would have been the scope to do it. SO there you Go blame Somolenski hehe

Also dont think of it as Paying for 2 days and only going on one, its more you pay for one day and get the other thrown in...hehe

Thanks Graham for the lengthy reply, although I see the various problems, I still think there should have been an option to pay cash at the door.
