I have. Has anyone else managed to research road safety and infrastructure as throughly as you?
I only ask as, seeing how the current transport policies are failing, and I was a new leader trying to pull together a decent team, I'd consider offering you a job
But then, it's not really about safety is it

For some reason all the normal road safety research looks at 'components' and never 'the whole system'. It's no wonder they get stupid answers. Then they build on the stupid answer and it gets dogmatic and just plain wrong. But my twin backgrounds in advanced driving and systems engineering gave me a different perspective.
There's a lot to be learned where disparate disciplines meet...
I'm sorry you folks are having trouble signing - obviously it's far outside of my control.
However, you could try a different email address. I believe that it's easy to set up Hotmail and Yahoo email addresses. Perhaps someone knows the quickest, easiest way to create an email address?

Why don't you email No.10 on Thursday? A new start on road safety could be just the thing to demonstrate a new start in general. I think that Mr Brown would appreciate a logical approach more than Mr Blair.
The trouble is that there are just too many staff handling mail. You have to do something different to bring something to the attention of the man himself. But the basic idea is very sound and I'm looking at options.

I'm inclined to give up with these petitions. Every single one I've signed, the response boils down to "We're right, you're wrong, we're not changing, go away."
Don't knock it - it's given me the opportunity to 'fire at will' all morning on the radio.See: http://www.safespeed.org.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=...
The petitions should be about making news, and informing opinion not directly changing policy by themselves.
