A DXF (or other CAD format) drawing of a Griff dash panel? It'll save me hours of work if anyone has already done this.

Just the outline would be fine as I have plans for something a bit different in the middle... smile

Thanks.

I wish ... I gave a dash to my drawing office months ago and the buggers still haven't done it yet - they always find some real work to do every time I ask about it. rolleyes
They've promised faithfully (again) to get it done this week sometime, but don't hold your breath.

Are we talking about a simple 2-d dashboard template here?

If so, it's less than a couple of hour's work for a competent CAD monkey with access to a scanner and AutoCAD, provided you already have a bare dashboard out of the car and ready for measurement.

I'm not far from you, if you're at Chipping Sodbury, so if your guys can't perform, give me a shout. I'm sure I could sort something out for you for a few quid.

My problem is we don't scan, everything has to be measured. I'll e-mail you my address and phone number to discuss it.

Happy to split the spoils and the few quid smile

I have a spare dash that would be suitable for scanning.

LordGrover... yhm

dnb... Isle of Wight is a bit far to travel to collect a dashboard! If LordGrover can lend me his, I may be able to sort something out and could, of course, e-mail you a .dwg or .dxf copy of the CAD file. By the look of it, you have different variants of the Griff (4.3 had a different dash to the 500, didn't it?), but as far as I know the basic shape was the same?

I think the outside shape is the same regardless of year. I'm not bothered by the placement or size of the dials since mine is intended to be a departure from standard...

I'm happy to put the dash in the post to you and either pay for return postage or collect it from you if you go to the Growl or something, but if Lord Grover's solves my problem then it's a needless effort.

I have one of each, but the lower section (heater/window switches) for a 500. If anyone has a pre-cat lower section they can lend us we have a full set. smile

I have a 4.0, and am about to take the dash out anyway. I could post you the lower section ( as long as you did not need it for too long. )
Did you need it urgently, just I am swamped with real work....
PM through my profile if you want to get in touch.
