A3 3.2 DSG : + & - ?

Afternoon all,
One of the chaps in the office has been offered an 03/53 A3 3.2 DSG for very good money (13k) and is seriously considering it.
With 12k on the clock at present, is there anything in particular that he should be looking out for before he seals the deal?

I've got one, had a few minor (mostly electrical) issues including rear shocks got noisy but were all fixed under warranty, (although warranty has expired now).
But been a good car, reliable, servicing costs reasonable, fast, good grip etc. DSG is excellent (IMO) and the car is very 'stealthy', Only issues to note is that the front tyres wear pretty quickly (and unevenly) and it only gives around 23mpg on 98 octane fuel.
Mine's done 26k in 3 yrs, which isn't much but 12k in 4 years is very little, don't know much about prices but £13k sounds a little high to me but maybe the mileage/spec/condition warrants it?.
