I currently have a 2003 50yrs Harley V Rod and i need some more speed in my life. Is this a easy bike to get on with?

I don't want something that i trying to keep the front wheel on the ground all the time.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I take it we're talking about the ZX-7R?
Well i've nearly bought one about half a dozen times.
Firstly its not hugely comfortable for shorties as the bars are quite low. Fairly 90's race position but many seem to find them comfortable.

They are quite heavy by todays standards but it means they are extremely stable and they are renowned for having the best 'front-end' in the business with loads of feel.
They are very fast but not scary fast and nothing like the current ZX-10 etc so no tank slapping wobbles to worry about.

The Ram-air also gives a fantastic induction howl when you start piling on the Revs..

I personally think if you're not worried about competing with your mates on their Gixxer thou's and R1's etc but want a Sports bike that gives you lots of confidence then i recon the zx7 could be for you.
Just have a good sit on one and preferrably a test ride to make sure the riding position is comfortable for you.

oh and one quick thing, whats the V-Rod like? i've heard they are pretty quick and dont handle bad..

I don't think you have been able to buy a new ZXR-750 for some years nowwink

Coming from a Harley I'd imagine you are after a Z750, which is a cracking bike better than the 1000 (although not as nice to look at).

If you want to go a bit more hardcore the Aprilia Tuono is all you need.

If we are talking race reps any of the super sport 600 made by the big factories since 2005 are worth a look.
