I wonder how often this gets overlooked? After we've fitted our nice smoothbore silicone induction tubes, enlarged/removed AFM's, multi throttle body plenums and then to find that the exit of the airbox has an I/D of 64 mm. Speaking to someone in the know has seen the results of taking this out to 70 mm can be worth up to 10 BHP. Wonder what It would have been worth on my old motor before I took it out!

Anyway, I've rolled and seam welded a strip to give 75mm for good measure then bonded that in place. Better find my tyre levers if I wanna stretch my hose over that!

Have you seen the vaseline dear?

This is the airbox that now helps the air go straight to my heater matrix...

I'm using the moulded smooth bore induction hose and have replaced the original air box and filter for the Chimaera cylindrical filter.

Has there been a performance benefit CLN1? I'm sure I read somewhere that these were a step backwards though it's not something I would myself state. Wonder what the I/D of your Chim' filter exit is; do you know?

Not sure about effect on performance, not noticable.

Bore on filter is about the same as the induction hose. I used a piece of thin wall stainless steel tube as a connector.
