Hey Chaps

I haven't been for years and years (I go to the Monaco GP more frequently) but looks like I might be going as a BRDC guest ( yay !! ) The only problem I have is that I have to be back at Wembley for a gig that night by 6.30pm.

How bad is the traffic out from Silverstone post race these days?
Normally that trip would take 2hrs max - race finishes at 2.30pm - If i leave the circuit at 4pm is that doeable ?

alternatively anyone want to give me a lift back in their helicopter smile

You might be out of luck or at least very tight on to make the gig.

That said if you have the chance to go as a BRDC guest take it with both hands. The only way you'd get a better seat is if you were able to get a pass into Stalag 21 (or the paddock) or be Bernie's love child.

Plus you never know who you might run into in the Clubhouse, from past F1 race winners and Champions to PHers biggrin

The BRDC vs METALLICA??!!

Surely there's no contest! The BRDC wins!

Well Bullet For My Valentine have cancelled - so it's not a good of a line up as it was - stage time in 7.30pm so still a chance of getting to it - long day though !

"Depends" - if the traffic goes well and you've been parked somewhere sensible (off the Dadford Road not off the Winterhills entrance is better )you've got a good chance of a good run out. Last year there were a couple of accidents on the Dadford Road though as the majority of the punters left which caused big problems and as with most traffic systems once the build up starts it all goes tits up!

Well used to ride - had a lovely Repsol Fireblade - until someone tried to use me and the bike as a battering ram - the bike came out marginally worse than me wink

Since last year, I've decided sitting in traffic is a safer option.

Two years ago I left the track at 4pm and was down the pub in West London by 5.45pm, all very quick and efficient! You'll probably have more problems at the Wembley end!
