Hi guys

I have just bought my first Caterham (ex racer) and I shall be racing in RSB next year, I hope. It has a screen and cage.

Great car but the mirrors are garbage; what's the wisdom if using on the road? I have been trawling Demon T and the likes - GT/Le mans style either side and a convex centre post looks favourite.

Do you know if these can fit onto the cage rather than having to drill holes into the bodywork?
Comments appreciated

I took the standard mirror off the w/screen and used some cable ties to attach it to the front top bar of the cage, more offset to the passenger side. This helps to stop the blind spot that you can get between the bottom of the mirror and the top of the passenger front wing.

Likewise you can use jubilee clips to mount the side mirrors to the cage as well and this will improve rear visibility as you can position them higher than on the doors which gives a better angle of vision. Obvious downside is the doors don't open as well but if you are using SIB's, this can restrict access anyway and you will be going in "over the top"
