Taken a games console (like a 360) on a plane before, I go on holiday on Friday to spain and I would like to keep playing Forza
Do they allow this in your carry on bag (If you take the power supply to show them it working) as I dont want to put it in my checked in bag for it to be chucked around.

I saw someone taking a 360 as carry on with some very suspect DVD cases when i was going to Geneva.
I don't know about anyone else, but i go on holiday to get away from TV, Computers, etc. But i do sit infront of one all day every day so maybe that's why.
Plus, should my g/f find out i was planning on taking a console she would hit the roof!

Personally, I wouldn't. It's a holiday, go get some sun. Even I'm not that big of a nerd to take my laptop on holiday with me (unless I'm being paid at the same time). Ohh and you've got the different voltage things, along with screen res (maybe) and the fact it'll add a lot of weight to your luggage/carry on.
Now go forth and enjoy the sun

I worked in a ski resort for a season in 03 and took my PS2 with me as hand luggage. If you are staying for any amount of time it was a god send - for both games and more importantly DVD's.
I agree though, that if it is just a week or two holiday, I'd probably leave it at home... Horses for courses though.

Thanks for the help, the reason im taking it with me is because Im going for 4.5 weeks and Im staying with my brother down there, I was going to take it with me anyway as there is no dvd player (Or sky) in the room il be staying but he also asked me to take it down to give him a go of Forza.
I wont be playing it all day, everyday of my holiday, more so just the odd night we feel like a go.

Might need to check the baggage allowance for both checked and hand luggage - 360's are hardly the lightest of things - plus if you put it in your hand luggage they'd be no room for booze and fags from Duty Free!!
no duty free in Europe
you just pay the local tax (much less)
