1000 miles in a week and she's never missed a beat :)

I know that these sorts of posts often start the 'why bring up reliability' type of comments but thought i start the thread anyway!
in just under a week managed to clock up 1,000 miles driving over in France and then a couple of trips back in Blighty. The car was good to sit at 110mph outside the UK and then in 5 miles of bumper to bumper traffic on the M25 when i got back never came close to overheating or throwing any sort of hissy fit, the car never missed a beat and was a pleasure to drive.
Every petrol station in France resulted in people coming over to ask what it was - Ferrari being the most frequent offering from people - or thumbs up if i passed them on the road.
Great to be out there driving the car on something other than the daily work run

Good to read threads like this - put it in my "Good news" thread and keep it alive
I did France this year, and will do it again this year, August/September time. Cerb's get so much attention over there, I think if you own one then you should drive through France every year, it's about 5 times the size of England, seems to have about 1/2 the number of cars and 1/2 s many cars on the road, you really enjoy driving. Then within 5 minutes of getting off the ferry you seem to be hitting Traffic lights, Roundabouts and speed cameras every 100 yards !!

Nothing much to report, a few miles beyond 70k now and its as healthy as ever. Dad took the Cerb up Shelsey hillclimb today for the hillclimb school and the current british champions observations were something along the lines of "you do know you're leaving black lines absolutely everywhere!!"
Another proud Cerbera moment that, really made me smile when Dad told me about it.

I remember posting a thread very similar to this after I sold my Cerb and bought a Corvette. I was amazed that I could manage a 600 mile day and nothing broke/fell off/stopped working.
I've since realised that........
........most cars can do a few miles under their own steam!
hmmmmm thanks for the comments I've since realised that........

My car has a big fuse go once and that's it in 2 years of daily use and a fair few long trips, so with you that yes most cars can do a few miles under their own steam. Thought i'd ping up this thread to try and help balance up the view that TVRs are just a fast way to breakdown. Everyone told me i was mad to run one daily and that i would be stranded every other week. This type of view does nothing to add to the value or views people have of TVRs, hence the hey look 1000 miles in a week and nothing went wrong theme
