Left chez chums at 9am this morning, picked up the A10 at Poitiers and nailed it.
400odd miles and 4 and 3/4 hrs later (ahem ) we were in Calais.

Could you really imagine doing that sort of mileage in that time in the UK?

North of LeMans the mway was empty.
Totally and utterly devoid of traffic...tell a lie, we saw a tractor...

Monaro pinned to the floor to see what it would do in 5th (answer; A LOT), take a break at some services to get the avg speed back down and on to Calais.

The M20 & M25 were suitably crowded. :unfair:

I never thought I'd say that I'd enjoy 400 motorway miles but today, I did.

Top that.

About 6inches...sorry, somewhere around 160 I think...

I was a bit boggled so wasn't entirely watching the speedo (I did have it in mph mode though)
