Off to Jersey in the Griff on Thursday, are there any Jersey TVR pistonheaders around? We go to Jersey quite often, but this is the first time of taking the car, can't wait to drive through the tunnel under the fort. hehe What are the police like over there for noisy cars? yikes

I'm sure there were a couple of Ss on the island back when I had mine - one had a Cossie 24v in it. Memory reckons there's a Griff there too, but I haven't been there for 3 years....

My S was rather low, but beware the ferry ramps! I had to ask my wife to get out so I could clear (scrape over) them.

I lived in Jersey until a couple of years ago and was aware of a black Griffith 500, a couple Chims and a couple S's, one a V8. A family friend also used to have a blue 420SEAC, although I haven't seen it recently.
As for the local cops, they are absolutely red hot on speeding and motoring generally, so if you're going to put your foot down, be careful!
I had only had my Griff on the island for about 3 days when I got pulled over twice and that was enough to convince me it's not worth having one over there. I've never been pulled over in the UK!
Mind you, it's almost worth the trip just to drive backwards and forwards through the tunnel. Have fun! biggrin

Don't live there but have taken the Wedge over a couple of times. Only problems for us were the ferry ramps.

Been there past 4 years on holiday, seen 1 Griff, 2 Chimaera's an S and the 420 which sounded so great.

Going for the 5 time at the end of July, its a great island for peace and quiet, good beaches, but not really a sport's car island for driving, unless you can close the roads...

Have fun in the Griff....

When I was on the rally in Blackpool after it was announced the factory was closing (can't remember what it was called), we were behind a purple Tuscan that was on Jersey plates. Not sure if it lives there though.
