...cancels X5 and goes mad. Does he know what 444 BHP means ? Does he know it does 12 to the gallon ? Has he forgotten he is 62 ?

Helped him test drive it, and boy does that thing go ! Does not feel like a huge SUV, more like a decent handling sportscar - does not make sense....

Amazing acceleration, corners without rolling, and brakes well too.

Of course it is a bit of an ugly duckling, but up close and in the right colour it does grow on you. I've even let him have my "X50CET" number plate for it.

Beaver, I agree. We test drove one last week, and I haven't driven another 4x4 that even comes close.

We can't get the colour/options we want just yet though, and there seems to be a glut of these things unsold in the US. Not sure how that bodes for Europe and s/h prices though.

BTW the demo turbo was averaging 8mpg !!!

When we cancelled our Cayenne T order the OPC was begging us to reconsider and offering immense reductions (would have been our 12th car from them though). Read into that, as regards the order book, what you will...

I've seen 2 now both black near sutton coalfield.I have to dissagree with most on the looks I think they are as good looking.
Maybe because they were black. as for speed one magazine got one to lap a track at the same time as an M3 !!!!!
