Finally got my wheels shotblasted and painted. Chose gunmetal for low maintenance and got a nice shiny finish all over unlike Vauxhalls poor paint finish that all CV8 owners have had bother with. A few pics below - and yes we have had lots of sunshine with no rain! Still thinking of a trip to Scotland and then on to Sunny Orkney anyone? Excellent driving roads up here.

Off to Edinburgh on ferry tonight via Aberdeen if you fancy a coffee on Thursday Bob (Well_fans)?

Nut covers on ebay. £10 for 20. Just type "wheel nut covers"

Thanks, and yes that's all mine looking out towards the island of Hoy. Nice view to wake up too in the morning.

No, not all mine (I wish). Farmer next door owns the fields and no building is allowed in front of me so the view remains! Plenty places up for sale but you have to like the 10 degree temperature drop compared with the rest of the UK. If you try the water in the summer it's like yikes

Mind you, it would cost a lot in Goldfish to fill the pond wouldn't it....?

What a fantastic view......I can't beleive houses like that really exist - you must be really good with PhotoShop......

Hardly jealous at all here.....

looking good there Jeff. Pity its today you're down as its my works afternoon/night out and by early evening I suspect I'm going to be in no fit state to walk never mind drive drink drink drink silly

Nb for those admiring his view you have to understand that for 364 days of the year he cant see the end of his garden for the rain, he's just showing off on the one dry day he gets

Sure is a lovely view. I have family on Norway and never fail to be impressed by the views available there, it's just not fair. They get 30 degree summers on the west coast too.

Stuff like this:

I think when I retire in a very very very long time, i will move to somewhere like that, get away from everything and just enjoy life.

Orkney resident eh! I'm from near John O'Groats originally, used to go on day trips to Orkney in the summer with the primary school. Went over on the Pentland Venture and got bussed around the place, Scapa, Tankerness, Kirkwall, Scara Brae, Ring of Brogar, etc. Monaro up there must get some quizzical looks from the locals! Plus must be keeping you honest in the fuel stakes... 1.09 a litre with you?!
