Just waiting for the new owner to collect...

Thanks to all, esp SteveD & Andygtt, for all the support and pointers over the past couple of years of ownership, it's been some of the best fun I've had in a car...

Now... what to replace it with...

Hey Peter,

What kind is that, Ultima? wink Those little things HAUL A$$! The US Grand National Kart Races come to our little road course weekend after. They get up to about 130 on the front straight.

The kart was just an idea to keep me going for a while, whilst also gaining some useful driving skills at the same time...

Here's what I actually want to build... that's me getting into the passenger seat...

And it's stiffer than a lotus...

I can't tell what that is. Similar look to the Honda S2000. I know guys making 300HP at the wheels with mild boost on S2000 engines.

Karts are great for developing reaction time, practicing rotation and spin recovery, and driving the line. I've been thinking about adding a kart to the toybox, too.

This German nut-case put a GSX-R engine and a CBR-1100 XX in a couple of karts. It's completely insane to see a kart smoking the hoops, power-sliding at 80 mph. Click the link and check out the videos. rofl

Peter, were you at Kit Car Live then? I was in the Caterham and followed that Scooby thing in. It goes very well.

Thanks! The URL is on the side of the car in the first photo. Much better photos on the links.

Interesting car. It's light and looks nice. Should do well with some fat rubber stuffed under it.

Yup, popped down and luckily got a ride in the Murtaya almost right away, then there was that crash after the hair pin which tied things up, so I was quite happy to have had my 3 laps... it's certainly got a bit of poke to it, although not the same raw spread of power of the GTR, but I like the idea of 4wd, which back home in NZ would be a distinct advantage...

Andy, looks like your project is comming along nicely, be good to see it once it's done, hopefully I'll still be in the UK when it is...

I'd definately like to have a go at building my own car/thing once day, maybe when I've stopped giving myself so many other things to do!!!
