I just picked up Colin McRae last night, hooked up the M$ wheel, and MY GOD its crazy.
I think Im going to have to adjust the settings a bit but its VERY involving compaired to the pad.

So if anyone isn't impressed with it, try it with the wheel !

Played the demo yesterday and couldn’t believe the graphics, looks like a great game and was a lot of fun to play.

Just wish they hadn’t brought it out at the same time as Forza. I reckon its getting overlooked because of that.

No no, it will give you a much welcomed break from Forza 2, its VERY different so I dont think it will get over shadowed.
My only complaint about the game is the 500BHP hoover sounding cars. Most of them sound crud.

That's what I thought, too, after playing the demo, I was sure the cars were floating on a bed of air!

Plus it's just too, erm, 'Americanised' - wouldn't have been surprised to see them put 'boss' levels in at the end of each season, to keep the US teens happy!

One think i don't like is there isn't a proper championship to enter, in the first colin mcrae game on psone there were six stages for every country and pretty much all the countries from the wrc, they did it with the toca series as well, first two games had the full btcc championship now it's just 5 or 6 races and thats it.

even the latest wrc game only had about four stages per country.

codemasters should release a european version of dirt with the trucks and american accents removed and include a full season of the wrc with 6 -8 stages per country.

Just buy Richard Burns Rally. Best rally game, and very impressive.

I have got it, agree it's brilliant, incredibly difficult to finish without smacking something though, richard burns handling with mcrae's graphics and crash damage would be great!

what is the wheel like with Forza 2?

I am tempted with it, but it is a lot of money to spend...

Thanks

Definately worth it if you want Forza2 as a racing sim.
great feel when driving over kerbs, nice kick back.
With damage on you feel like the tracking is stuffed when you have to turn wheel just to go straight.

The Wheel comes bundles with a copy of PGR3 with the drivers for the wheel.
If you own PGR3 you could tade it in to offset the cost of the wheel.

DON'T go for the £40 wheel for the X360 it is cheep and has no force feedback.

Hope this helps.

Dead right! Really disapointed! No feel of speed like original McCrae rallies. Too sensitive with the wheel.Forza 2 is the ultimate driving game! Shame we can't get rally game to match!
