Well having been giving my redundancy notice today, and driving back down south my thoughts came back to starting a company again

Wot you think of the title

Wedgeless

Idea is to fix & maintain wedges, but whilst you'rs is being fixed for a reasonable price by my Mechanic / Mot'r you get a loaner wedge

So now need to buy several Wedges of all sorts so I can loan them out


This is where you all come into the equation, you all donate as much wonga as you can for the cause, then sell me a couple of cheap Wedges, then come to me for fixing any you may have left

Within a year I'll be rolling in it, and be able to start Chimless and Griffless

Oh yeah any donators get a discount

Failing that any one got a spare job from tea boy upwards ?

Paul, sorry to hear of the news, can't really help you at present, however for future reference I probably know my Chimaeras better than my Wedges these days so if you need a Chim mechanic you have my number

I was made redundant in April and my wife finished yesterday, made redundant after nearly 19 years.

There does seem to be a lot of it about. After sixteen and a half years, I'm being made redundant at the end of next month. Maybe I can open a Northern branch of Wedgeless. Although, it will be a cold day in hell before I become permanently Wedgeless, the kids will be sent out to work if needs be.

My uncles had an idea a few years back of starting a business restoring classic cars and finishing of part built kit cars for people. The bank weren't interested, unless they sold secondhand cars as well... Neither of them wanted any of that, so another good plan gone to the wall
