Just click on PHOTO GALLERY to see more photos. 128i and 135i will be introduced first, which means M1 will use a different engine. Which one I wonder?

The looks will require some getting used to...

But the most significant point, IMHO, is this:

"The M Sports Suspension also comes with a high-performance brake system incorporating six-piston fixed calipers on the front axle and two-piston fixed calipers at the rear."

Finally has BMW seen the light!

eek It's not April 1st again is it?

Err... are we sure these are official photographs, or could it be a photoshop special? Some of the current crop of BMW's have taken a little time to grow on me, but I suspect that this one may take quite a while; it's pretty challenging!

It seems to me that the 3-door is nearer to being a coupe than that. Barring the lack of doors it's more like a saloon.

The lads here have seen it in the flesh, think 2002.

From the taster currently on Autocar's website, it would appear that the pictures are genuine. I think it looks great!

I went to see this car in Munich last week. Strangely I had to sign away my unborn kids to agree not to publish the pics until Monday? I'll post my thoughts on Monday (for fear of Garlick juniors), but sneak preview suggests the 135i will be a beast. Oh, and it looks better in the metal!

You just know a 135i is going to be a seriously good car to drive.. Its going to be rapid, and with a near 400bhp remap, pretty mental I should imagine rotatethumbup

I really really do fancy a 135i.

I wonder if it will be available as a hatch or exclusively the coupe.
