dash and trim parts

where do we get the:-

veneer
carbon fibre
aluminium finish

dash, centre console, and door trim bits from?

I'm really looking for silver or black items, and only really need the door trims just now, but thought I'd ask for the rest in case others are interested.

I've looked at the links for veneer items on the TVRWedgepages links, very nice too, but was wondering more about the carbon and aluminium stuff.

I'd have a go at doing it myself off the wedge pages technical article. My car came with an invoice for over £400 for a dash, glovebox and console replacement by a very well known TVR 'specialist'. It looked superb and I expected it to last forever, but the veneer started to lift at less than 4 yrs old. When I took it out the supposed brand new replacement panels were bodged originals. Two bolts were stuck on with bath sealant instead of the hard sikkaflex type stuff. The veneer had been stuck on to bare metal which had fine surface corrosion. I don't know what adhesive had been used but it had broken down into a white powder. The whole lot lifted off easily so I just cleaned off the rust, zinc primed and restuck it with impact adhesive and it now looks great. So if you buy new fit it yourself and then you know what you are getting.

If you want wood veneer and don't want to do it yourself I would highly recommend http://www.cooperwoodtrim.co.uk/. They did my dash, glovebox & door handles about 8 years ago and they look as good today as when they were first done. Cheers Steve

I have my door cards covered in leather, the fake wood strip in metallic blue, and the door handle / catch assembly in blue (leather dye)

The metallic blue matches the exterior, the seat piping, the carpets and the rollbar

I have covered mine in carbon effect leather along with the glovebox and switch panel finished off with shiny bezels. If someone can tell me how to get some pics up I'll post some pics. As an alternative to wood, IMO the leather looks very nice.

There is no supplier,

Its just due to the age of the car it a common problem if the walnut pealing. also do to the age, not everyone likes the look of walnut, as its more common all makes of cars to have carbon or ali.
