Hi Rich,
how many miles have you done on the original tyres & have the backs gone or all four ? I had P-Zeros (as Clubsport mentioned, although I'm not sure that they were directional) on my C2 & they were very good, but the Conti's are also hard to beat. Make sure you double check your prices with Micheldever tyres as they
seem to offer best Uk prices.Let us kmow where you end up.

I had a pair of rears put on a month ago (Pirelli Pzero Assimetrico 295/30 ZR 18 N3. I got a supply only quote of £196 plus postage from the internet. I also got a quote from a cheap independent dealer in Cheltenham of £217.96p per tyre inc fitting etc. I then got a local dealer I have an on/off history with to agree to £215 per corner including fitting and balancing using the other two quotes.
If the dealer sees you as a possible frequent repeat customer they will try and do a deal. In my case they have recently lost the local mercedes garage work to a mobile fitting service and were keen to get my family's cars visiting them again.
As a note the OPC indicated £235 plus fitting & balancing plus VAT on top per corner.

Hi Grant.
The car had the original rears changed at about 8.3k miles. The newer set of rears have been thrashed with a Bruntingthorpe "Vmax/drifting" day using 3mm and 20 laps at the Ring drifting on most corners. I doubt if the newer set will last beyond 5k miles. Of course with the rears doing all the work the fronts are lasting very well.
I have not mixed tyres or changed from the original factory fit. Modesty forbids me from commenting on the handling but Domster who experienced a few Ring laps this weekend may care to comment.

Rich what tyres (prices etc) did you end up with & are they now bedded in or are you going everywhere sideways. Read an article in EVO a few months back, a Turbo that they spun (unexpectedly) a few times on track, they put it's sudden spinning top habit's to new unscrubbed tyres !!!!
Rich, might be worth giving these guys a shout:
www.elite-design.co.uk/frameset3.html
VERY competitive price's, plenty of choice and while you wait (2hrs on a Saturday I'm afraid) fitting....

If you're around that area, there is a place called Thrupp Tyres in the Stroud valley that I've always found very good. The guy there is called Dean. He replaced all four (235/50 16 from memory) on my old Z3 with Eagle F1s for £420 fitted.
Cheers

I echo Domster's comments on getting a local place to match quotes, worked for me. New set of fronts and rears, Pirelli zero assymetricos, 265/30/18 and 225/40/18 for £530 incl fitting and VAT.
Course I've just checked the tyre pressures and found out why the car was all over the shop handling wise....
good luck
