New Tyres fitted today

Just had two new S03's fitted to my Chim by a large tyre place on the A13.
I asked for the old S02 back, as it has some limited life left on it.
Paid the £241, got out to the car and the wheels are filthy and the centre caps off.
The old S02 is wrapped up on the passenger seat, even though there was room in the boot for it.
I went back in and the guy serving said that the centrecaps were broken and held on with mastic, and were in the car.
They were in the car on the centre console.
One was not broken and the other was, but I pushed it on and it was o.k.
I spent about 5 minutes cleaning as mush of the grease of the wheels as possible with a tissue.
I have got home and I have noticed some scratches on one of the wheels, which I can't say I had noticed before, and it would appear that there were some traces of silver paint on one of the scratches, which came off easily, as if it were only just done.
After spending £240 you would expect better service than that, I feel an email coming on

SteveI have just sent them an email, so await a resonse.
It is just annoying that you have them fitted, go to look at the car and the wheels are black and slimy with grease and the centre caps being left off with no attempt to put them back on.
Bearing in mind this is one of the biggest wheel and tyre centres in the east of London, West Essex.
It was a bit disconcerting when I saw a kid of about 16 (probably younger) whacking something, probably a nut, on the wheel of a Scooby.

I have had similar experiance. I took my Passat in for its first set of front tyres. The wheels were spotless not a mark on them.
They set the boy onto to the job and he prompty started yanking at the nut covers with a pliers, I had the removal tool in my had but he didnt want it, off he went with the wheels inside to fit the tryes, he was ages, I could hear some heavy blows with a hammer going on. Finally he returns fits the wheels.
On "completion" The wheels were filthy (The car had been cleaned that day and was looking mint) No attempt was made to clean up. Worse still both wheels had a deep score all the way around the rim about 1 inch in. I challanged the manager about this and he said they were kerbed and it was my fault.
It still bugs me now and this happened 6 months ago.
I will keep my eyes glued next time and have them pre-inspect before any work starts

I will keep my eyes glued next time and have them pre-inspect before any work startsI just had two tyres on the front of my 390: the assorted chimps in the tyre place were all for jacking a one-tonne car by a 1.5" tube until I suggested they used the engine crossmember. Their longest jack then took 3 of them to position (I manage to locate my Halfords special by myself in seconds: what was all that about?) and then two of them had to centralise the wheels on the balancing machine.
By this time I was losing confidence, but I was distracted by the Transit van having some new rear brakes fitted nearby. I always thought the drum brake was a simple device, but it took FOUR of them to reassemble one side
