I recall a few weeks back someone mentioned that it would be a good idea if PH members had a label or removable sticker which had their PH name on it...so when people go to meets/races you can stick the name in the back or front of the car so people can put name to a car etc...

Think this was a great idea but haven't heard anymore...so got thinking I'll post something on here and see what response there was..then maybe someone at PH or other might take this up (depending on demand) and provide some kind of service..similar to the T-shirts etc.

Views?

You've seen this in the 'Pistonfest 2003' forum. Somewhat nerdy for me. It would be like going on a business event. Put your lables on so that teacher knows who they're talking to. yuk.

Not a bad idea. When I go to any meetings I print out on my computer my PistonHeads name and realname and stick it in my windscreen. Makes it easier to find out who's who.

Hmmm, never been to a business event where every one gets hammered, doesn't remember what anyone is called anyway, sleeps with the wrong wife/girlfriend, wakes up in their own urine/vomit, somehow has to fabricate a convincing story as to how mungo's DNA was found on his or her passenger seat (even when photos are published hours after the fact), finds some of Teds finest designs still tangled in their pubes a few days later, suddenly remembered which part of the Hog they ate as part of an elaborate mating ritual/bet, can't for the life of them work out garbled texts on their phones for days after the event etc, make out you haven't got a clue how Flashers vehicle keys found their way into a cross dressing mans possesion and the vehicle managed to mysteriously move accross the car park like a knight on a chess board during the early hours... sorry, rambled on for a bit there...
Come on, young man - PistonFest is going to be exactly what we make it..
However, if you want to come and sit on your shooting stick, grumbling about name tags, who are we to judge. Perhaps you could choose the record at the disco..

I still have mine in the company van - I superimposed 'TVR' across the flag. Whenever I remember, I bung it in the rear window and hope in vain for people to flash, wave or give me money, but nothing like this ever happens.

Snipped for brevity..

Never been on a team event for the team I used to work with then.. Their idea of team bonding is to put us all in an hotel for a night, then wonder why everyone got horrendously pissed and failed to turn up the next day for whatever stimulating presentations they'd got planned. Glad I left, made me nauseous.

One option is... if you can find someone who does the translucent rear plates who will do it... to get your ID name prefixed by PISTONHEADS printed along the base of the number plate instead of a dealer logo.

Just a thought.
