any ideas

sat at the lights when all of a sudden the car died
turned out the fuse for the fuel pump had blown
replaced it and when it started it had a misfire on number 4 and 5
any ideas !
phoned the factory and they said check relays,connections,fuel filter.
while fiddling it wont start at all now!
checked fuel filter ok
any ideas ,andy

certainly sounds like electrical gremlins mate, has it been wet lately ?
has a cable come loose and been worn through against a belt of similar ?
have you had the AC on and had condensation dripping in the fuse & relays in the passenger footwell ?

there is also a wire by the ecu that appears to be doing nothing,it has a clear plastic shroud,it looks like it should be connected but is very clean!
