A few times I have had a problem with a dodgy sticky door lock. It seems to happen when I am in the car, and I can't unlock the door. The locking switch doesn't want to go all the way to the unlock position. Working it from the outside doesn't help much, but it usually frees itself. I have sprayed a load of that silicone lubricant in but it did it again tonight.

It feels a lot looser than the passenger side but I assumed that was due to more use.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a quick look behind the door card is what you want. It's just a few screws and poppers to get it off. (Freudian slip?) - don't forget the screw in the middle of the door opener, and also the screw(s) in the arm rest.

Then your problem will probably become clear. It's all done with coathanger metal rods, if it's not anything obvious, some tweaking by bending them a little can help.

Good luck!
