Quality issues? What quality issues!
Discussion
As someone who is smitten by the stunning looks and G-force performance of the current crop of TVRs, I can't help but notice a recurring theme on this forum of "quality issues".
I'd just like to ask owners what problems they consider "typical" or "normal".
Maybe some of you can give me a heads-up on what I might be getting into as an owner, and what is acceptable and what is not (I accept that they aren't built like a Merc or a Porsche)

Haven't got a new one, so my experiences are based on a 12 year old car thats bound to have a few things go wrong occaisionally. As a comparison, reckon my S costs me less than a 900 Turbo half its age..
That said, they are hand built, low volume sports cars and some of the new ones have the occaisional teething problems. You'll get the odd one thats a little worse, and the odd one thats far better than the others. Do a search through the archives and you'll get a view, but I think people tend to post to complain when things go wrong so the sample may be skewed. I'm sure there are larger numbers very happy and without a problem..
When cash permits, I'll go for a TVR over a Porsche; yet to find one in the same price bracket that has the same experience for me when driving. Only ever driven one Lotus, which was nice, but again didn't really do it for me..

Personally, I might hope that this will the case for me some 18-24 months down the road when I'll be swapping my daily car for a TVR - my 900T ("Saabine") cost me about 20,000 euro over the past three, four years. Can't have that with the daily driver...
Of course, she is, er, a bit different from standard now...
