Need a new exhaust for the R500. Got pinged at Brands at 106.7db the other week. Seem to have narrowed it down to BTB or Raceco. BTB claim 100db +/- which is attractive as the limit for the GP track is 101db but I don't know what the Raceco does. Not sure how much power I'm going to loose either.

Anyone got any advice?

You'll lose no power with a Raceco. With airbox and 7.25 Raceco which could do with repacking, mine measures a regular 102db at "ahem" 5,500 RPM

another vote for Raceco - with one of their neat titanium jobs & a reverie airbox system, my R500 was quiet enough to do Bedford which has to be one of the strictest tracks for noise.

That's what I've got - I'm going to have to repack it I think....

Yep, most recently at Snetterton last week - first time I've driven there - bloody quick!

How can anyone guarantee any given noise reduction? Will depend very much on the engine. If in doubt though, get the biggest one possible. I gained a little bit of power when fitting mine, but I'm sure that depends too.
