I thought they were the same as those on the Cerbera with just the allen bolts securing it, obviously not though, but have you tried whacking it to see if it will budge?

I have not done that job but would guess that after removing the bolts it should come apart.

Check you have not missed something like a split pin / circumperence type sp
ring clip..

Try gently jacking the bottom of the suspension - it might move away under compression ..

after that you just need to find a big leaver .. and an 'ammer..

CV shaft or joint?
Joint is best pulled out as a whole axle, loosen the top wishbone mount to give clearence, pullout, then undo the circlip and replace.
If you mean the CV shaft, undo the outer 41mm(or 38mm,can't remember),I find it easier with the axle out and tightning up wishbone again to stop it springing, then smack inwards with a plastic hammer.
Oh, and don't forget to mark up your camber setting.

Hi Paul,

The 110mm dia CV wouldn't come off the hub so couldn't get to the circlip, so i presume you mean the big censored off nut needs to come off??

Marked the camber when i had go already smile didn't fancy getting the string & levels out again wink

That doesn't make sense,if your changing just the CV joint, there are the 6 cap screw's either side, loosen wishbone, job done, not a spline in sight.
The only reason to push out the shaft is if you need a hub bearing change or pulling the hub.

Yip,splined through the hub and bolted to joint.Time for a big socket, brute strength and a mallet.

Confusing thread this with lots of mis-information. Derek .. you're trying to free the outer Cv joint from the rear of the splined hub shaft .. after you've undone the 6 allen bolts the CV will come out .. no need to touch the big nut on the outside of the hub at all. They do sometimes stick though so a big lever and a sharp tap on the edge of the CV joint will help .. but after undoing the 6 allen bolts there's nothing else holding the CV joint to the splined shaft except a bit of stiction.

To be fair unless youve done the job it's pretty hard to describe a situation if you've never come across it before

Thanks Del. I've had a look at shaftec's website but 'under construction' - will call them later.
Do you remember whether £50 each is about right? (Prolinx price)
