Any new's form Wortec/anyone, regarding the cone type filter to be fitted inside a modded airbox as mentioned in an earlier thread.

Is it available for the RO's yet ?

Yes they have now arrived......

We have been trying to get dyno numbers before and after on all the pac's but as you might expect this is a lot of work and mixed in with all the VXR8 orders to get out we have not finished them all...........

BUT as a rule of thumb 3-4hp on low level pac's and 7-8 on supercharger pac's but the main advantage is a more consistent operating temp and a quicker reversion to normal temps after ideling for some time.

Fully installed costs will be ready later this week after are dealers have had a chance to fit a few kits to see how long they take.....

Sounds good to me - I assume we are looking at quite a cost effective way to gain extra hp

I know the CAIs are being trialled (on Caspy's?) - but they are hideously expensive (like switchable exhaust upgrade money). Mine's going in tomorrow for some work and an air filter was on my list - but I can live without it frown

Nope these I believe are simply cone type filters that fit in a cutaway standard airbox. They should offer reasonble benefits over the standard element upgrade and hole in the side of the box, but without the cost of the OTR design which really only offers significant benefits to FI cars.
