Ok, so pretty pointless thread, just wanted to say after quite a while away from the biking fraternity, I'm back. Picked up my brand spanking new Triumph America at the end of last week.

I know it doesn't pack the punch anywhere near the sports bikes, but it does me just fine, plenty fast enough for me and I'm only running it in at the mommnet!

Handles lovely and makes a beautiful sound with the aftermarket sports exhausts.

Anyway, this is the first brand new vehicle I've ever bought of any kind and I'm pretty happy about it all.

Cheers,

JC

It's a nice feeling buying new. I've only ever bought bikes new, not managed a car..yet.

Enjoy.biggrin

I did the same thing recently with a Kawasaki Meanstreak 1600. Not very fast but loads of fun!!! I did sit on an MV Augusta F4 1000 on Saturday, things may change...

Congratulations. thumbup

Don't appologise for riding a cruiser, I don't. I have a Yamaha Royal Star which I bought new 11 years ago and it's brilliant, even giving a few sportsbikes a run for their money when I'm in the mood.

Anyway, as long as it suits you and it does what you want it to then that's all that matters.

Just go out and enjoy yourself.

Thanks for the comments all.

It really is nice to be back on 2 wheels. In the brief momments at the weekend when the sun was out it came flooding back why I wanted to get a bike again.

Roll on the summer!..... oh, this is the summer.....I forgot for a minuite there.

Cheers,

JC

Nice choice. I've done some miles on a Speedmaster which I believe rides like the America and it was great fun and sounded lovely.
