My 4.0 Griff has lost his radiator cap! Noticed steam coming out, temp guage OK - up with the bonnet and there wasn't the cap! Done about 100 miles since I last checked the water.

Do I have to get this from a TVR agent? Or is it a Landrover bit? Or any of the other mongrel bits which make up my lovely motor?

If you're talking about the blue cap on the expansion tank - I understand its a VW/Audi cap - not sure about the release pressure though (if there's any variation)...I've just checked mine - definitely a VW/Audi cap...it's got no reference to a pressure, but the numbers 443121 321 on it (it might help your local VW dealer find the righ bit)
Cheers, Paul.

Paul you are an

I checked the bible this morning and it says the cap comes from a VW, but that's all. The numbers you gave should save a lot of "well it's blue and screws onto my Griff"!

BTW can't make Wednesday - cricket again - but June meeting is firmly blocked into my diary!

Many thanks

Keith

VW Golf Mk1. Halford sell them for about £3-99. The Audi bit is about £10. Currently using a Halfords one on the GRiff (with a VW spare). No problems.

Thanks Paul & Steve - Halfords did the trick with a VW Golf cap and the green bullet is back in business!
