330d Sport Misfire. Help needed with diagnostic code.

Hi all,
I have a '52 plate 330d sport and on tickover the whole car vibrates. (More so than normal for a diesel). Under the bonnet the whole engine is rocking. When the needle touches 78mph and 2200 rpm the car judders and feels as if you have a flat tyre but then you can accelerate through it.
A mechanic mate of mine got it on his Snap On Diagnostic scanner and it came back with a fault code of P1316 (or it might have been P1613) and says Engine Stability Management. He can't find out what that points to and BMW certainly won't tell him. Anybody out there got any ideas?
AA also had a look but couldn't get the car to 'talk', he reckons it's a faulty injector.
