Becker and Bluetooth issues

Have just installed my Becker Grand Prix in my 996 and wasn't surprised to find the bluetooth doesn't work at all well with my Sony Ericsson K750i. The K750i connects OK, but then disconnects after random 10s to 2 minutes, then the Becker reconnects and the process starts all over again. This is a pain because every time it connects and disconnects you can't adjust radio station or track etc.

Am sure this is a problem with the phone as it failed in similar manner with a plantronics headset and even a sony ericsson handsfree car kit, whereas my friends K700i worked OK with these devics.

Anyway - the question is to all those out there with a Becker Grand Prix is what modern bluetooth phones are you using successfully with it ... and I'll get my rubbish SE upgraded.

Mine works great with a Motorola V3i

My K750i doe the same thing with both a Sony Ericsson headset and my Parrot.

It will stay connected all day until a few mins into a call when it will drop the connection.

I emailed Sony who pointed me to an update for the phone software via their site.
Sadly is is no better after the update.

Not that much relevance apart from bluetoothing a phone to a car kit, but I use a Sony Ericsson K800i with a Parrot CK3100 car kit. Works very well, connects every time.

As posted above, downloading latest SW *may* help, for free its worth a go. I've always had mixed/little success with bluetooth until this phone and car kit. Confidence a little more restored!

Thanks - my daughter has a Motorola, so I might test that out. Doing a google on the K750i and bluetooth reveals lots of problems, despite firmware upgrades. Only had it a year but the navigation nipple thing is already dodgy, so think its time for the bin.

Can see the same thing happening on my K800i, it seems to need a good "flick", despite being careful (and preventing my 16mth old daughter from playing with it!)

...always been a Nokia fan myself...may revert back to my 6230 if this one packs-up.

My Becker Grand Prix works with both a Nokia 6230i and N73.
