Car comes back on Wednesday morning from being sat in a Citroen dealership in Germany for the last 2 and a half weeks due to my gearbox going pop.

Now, I only have the one key for the car which I had to give them, do you reckon they'll still have it?

How many extra scrapes will she have obtained? Will my wheels be more scratched than when I left her? Will my seat bolster now be torn after a whole bunch of little oiks have sat in it to have a play? Are my amplifiers still in the boot?

I'm excited about getting her back but really not looking forward to the possible damage that has occurred. Perhaps I'm just a real pessimist....

Anyone else had to go through the same affair? Any tips as to what to look for?

I really dont want to put a downer on things, but when our Shoguns brakes failed a few years ago the car came back in an absolute state - the spare wheel cover was cracked/smashed, it was horribly dirty all over and I think the front bull bar was a little bashed in too.

I would hate to think what these muppets would do with a Cerb. frown Really really hope we are both being very pessimistic.

When our driveshaft failed on the way to LM two years ago we limped back to Le Shuttle deliberately, even though we risked damaging the diff - as it meant we could make sure the car got taken straight back home under our watch.

I'm sure that will be easy if you compare the photos you took with your cellphone at the time of hand over with the appearance at the time of hand back!! getmecoat I always forget to do this too and then can't believe I'm so stupid as to carry around this rarely used (but invaluable if you remember it!) camera that's ideal for such situations. Hope you get a pleasant surprise though!!

hehe

Luckily I took about 40 odd pics with my camera. wink Thankfully the dealer concerned was run by an old German guy and it looked like a family business. He also handled the Phantom and a 997 from the Gumball earlier in the year.

I'm more worried about the pound it's sat in at Dover for the last few days. frown

Scarey.... guess these things can happen abroad. Although you wouldn't think that it could happen here in Blighty..... well it does..... Austec lost mine. And how does a garage lose keys? It's either in a wall box or in the car. I wasn't impressed with that one, and I now have a non-tvr meta fob.

Whats a non TVR meta fob? Ive got/had 4 fobs, none from memory were 'TVR' fobs. Am I missing out on something here?

The originals are black square fobs with TVR moulded into either the button or fob itself (can't remember which). I've now got grey discs.

Got her back. Not a scratch. Although the lacquer has been removed from the front badge (Gold bage with Purple inlay) so need to get them to replace that.

Any idea who can supply or refurbish badges?

Very odd - maybe they swapped an old badge they had lying around with your laquered one?
