355bhp TT Roadster

Abt Sportsline get their tuning mits on the TT Roadster

Fresh from the redesigns of the TT-Sport and TT-R, Abt Sportsline has turned their attention to the TT Roadster. The firm from Kempton in Germany has a long tradition of modifying Audis, including the first TT, so it’s no surprise they have moved to the new model.

The Audi tuners have had their modest design pens out and added skirts all round – must be the hairdressers influence - the front showing off a new design around the fog lights and the rear aimed to provide additional down force along with the modified rear wing.

The new look includes a number of power upgrade packages taking the 3.2 litre engine to 355bhp from the standard 247bhp, powering the car to 60mph in 5 seconds. The 2.0 litre engine has not been spared, with the addition of Abt’s special iS technology, the turbo engine has been improved to 300bhp.

To match the power improvement the car has an uprated Abt sports brake system with 380x34 millimetre discs as well as an Abt suspension kit for more stability in what Abt call “ticklish situations”.

No mention on price yet but more information at www.abt-sportsline.de

Why have all the new audis got such fantastically ugly wing mirrors?
You thought they might spare a car that's supposed to look good!

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest it looks even better than the original car. If course I must be a chav wr to suggest that an aftermarket firm seems to have got it right for once but as you say pistonheads has gone to the dogs...

Eh? They're just normal, everyday door mirrors with repeaters. Nothing ugly about them.

I reckon it looks okay too, but then I quite like the look of that BMW 1-Series Coupe that's getting a good kicking on another thread...

An attractive car as standard, why play with it? At least it's not as bad as the R8 they ruined.
