996 overheating HELP?

in france in 996 c2....its 35c outside.....oil pressure fine but temp gauge up and light on.no obvious water leaks. Could it be the sender or any ideas?

Check coolant level when cold and are the cooling fans working, Might have blown a fuse.

Also have a look at the front of the radiators for any signs of debris with could restrict airflow through them.

Do you know whether the header tank has ever been changed for the later deisgn item? Early ones were prone to cracking (thus letting air in, etc, etc). Sorry, I don't know the cut-over dates nor any telltale signs to identify.

Pressure cap, I presume, is on square and tight? (sorry if that's a noddy check)

all appears ok with no obvious leaks......dont know about the header tank tho.......maybe the cap pressure is wrong too....maybe only apparant when its so hot cos normally its efin baltic in scotland.

same happend to my C2 on a spirited run last year, wetwipe said top up the coolant and you will be fine.

we got to mine, topped up, and yep, fine.

thats exactly what i thought at the time but since I know less than anyone and couldnt care less if I killed the car I tried it anyways, i think he just got lucky tbh
