On the new ones, you can set it so the map is always north or the cursor is always north. I am pretty sure you can do it on PCM 2 as well. I think, when you are on the map screen, you push in the knob and it will bring up another menu in which you can set it. If not then it may be in settings on the nav or map screen?

I had my retro-fit PCM 2 yesteday and it really does finish off the centre console of the car...
One quick problem though. On a normal Sat Nav you drive up the screen and on mine I'm driving down - any ideas on how to change this (if it can be changed) - sadly I don't have a manual.
That's surprising. Does it mean PCM 1 doesn't allow that neither? Is that the consensus? One quick problem though. On a normal Sat Nav you drive up the screen and on mine I'm driving down - any ideas on how to change this (if it can be changed) - sadly I don't have a manual.

IIRC:
Press the button on the right hand side to bring up the map display
Press the "set" button on the right hand side of the PCM2 module to bring up a small menu. You can then adjust the orientation there.
Mrs S has my car today, so I can't pop out & check, but I am pretty sure this is how it is done.

Here is a link to the PCM2 owners manual. This might help (you may need to register first)
