Car Tax Scamera

White (totally unmarked) van with 2 scameras poking out of the back windows on the B4114 (dual carridgeway section) heading into leicester from broughton astley before Fosse Park M1-J21 this lunchtime.

about 400 yds further up Police had the dual carridgeway coned down to one lane and 3 cars + associated BiB sat in wait

Can only assume this was one of those car tax things - what a total waste of police time, and public money, if they parked this 3 miles further up in the local estates i am pretty sure they would catch alot more people, or try this for size went out and spent some time tracking down a car theif, or burgurlar or other genuine criminal.

Good to see they actually have equipment that does not detect speed! Agree with what you say about location, it does seem odd. I would still rather have them doing this than speed checks on empty roads.
