Some great "previous" mate. How would you rate each and why the quick turnover ?

The "why high turnover" question is an easy one, I enjoy changing cars and am lucky I'm able to, simple as that.

Rating some of them:

Best? Carrera GT
Most undriveable? Carrera GT
Biggest £££ loss? Carrera GT (there's a pattern here)
Best all rounder? Any other Porsche
Worst? New shape M5, by a mile. Loathed it, yet enjoyed the previous one....

Slowed recently as not that tempted by many on the market at the moment, 599 for example, and considering doing something slightly different at the moment, like getting a GT3 or RS, and something classic at the same time as a pure toy.

Why was the CGT so undriveable?? Was it the clutch?

Andy's/my 640 is being picked up on 16th July. Have been at the factory over the last week following each stage of the build. Amazing those guys on the line. Orange one is coming back on the same day smile

I always thought it was really cool, the way all those old ladies stitched the seats up

They aren't that old!! I got some good shots of them bending over their tables and sewing machines!
There was a lime green Gallardo spider there having the interior installed with bright Orange interior. Lovely. The SV Murcie is a go. Little bird told me there the special machines for some parts of the build of one have been ordered.

so, no time to pick up the occasional bit of post or join in with any event with your Murciélago or even read the occasional email or post on PH or the LCUK version of PH you'd have access to if you were a CLub Member...

hmmmm, anyone else noticing the sudden appearance of redfive1 and single entry on PistonHeads so far and also, is anyone else recalling Simonspider saying manual LP640's (as opposed to 'none egear' - what a tosh use of words!) were actually quite difficult to get hold of if you didn't have a bit of friendly 'clout' at Sant'Agata and the UK dealers

Mind you, I'm a bit concerned about Simon watching more mature (lets be kind!) ladies bending over but as for the BIG NEWS he's 'heard'... long sales queues ahoy!!!

so, I'll start 'the word' we might have to use for redfive1!

There's only 2 manual LP640 UK cars. Both sold from Lambo London and one in Lime Green. They are pretty rare but only because 85% are sold with egear.
Takes 8 working days from when the bodyshell is delivered to the factory and mounted on its trolley, to the Murcie rolling off the end. Whats really interesting is until all the specific parts for that particular car are delivered too, (ie coloured calipers, interior finished etc) it doesn't start the process of being built. Then its pushed down by hand on its trolley with the rad fans & steering column being fitted first. Then suspension, engine & gearbox, lights, glass, interior etc being supplied on other little trolleys along the way. Great fun watching it all smile
